Get physically pumped up and be knowledgable about the object or action you fear. According some psychologies abnormal fear for things is a relation to a dysfunctional relationship in the family, your anger driving the fear from the subconscious. Look at the thing you fear and step your memory backwards from the time of your first memory of seeing such a thing. Who do you remember or what were you doing at the time and what happened to you. You need to do some internal dialogue with others of memory. Be creative and act out the parts; this shall help you to re-assimulate the energies that went into this fear, making them again confluent with self action.

Take baby steps.
Start by exposing yourself to what ever you fear a little at a time. For example, if you fear public speaking you might want to join your local toastmasters club. Start by listening and thinking about giving a speach. Then create a speach to give and practice it in the mirror. The next step would be to actually give a short speach. Do it often enough and you will become a pro.
