I am studying the Iranian Revolution, but I need to find a focal point. Any ideas?

The shah oppressed Iranians to the point of embracing the Ayatollah.

The Ayatollah Khomeini was not as severe of an oppressor as the Shah.

You could focus on the American response, what the hostages were thinking, what the Shah was doing, the Iranians and a lot of other things.

Hi. How about the impact on American politics and it's future impact on Iran. If ever two opposite cultures have been more intertwined then I'm not aware of it.
