I hyperextended my forearm muscle lifting something a work (log home construction).

R.I.C.E.
Rest: relative rest, avoid lifting any moderate to heavy weights with that arm
Ice: ice the forearm muscle for 15 minutes every hour
Compression: wrap an ace wrap around the forearm to control swelling
Elevation: elevate the forearm above the heart level to control swelling

See your physician if it does not heal. You will need to rest and not play sports/do heavy lifting for a few weeks to allow it to heal.

If you need to recover quickly, see a physical therapist. There is a lot they can do to help you.
