I hit my baseball up the hill and it rolled down and into the street drain.im very sad.

I am sorry that you lost your ball. Maybe you can get it back?? If not you can have a base ball funeral, and after a respectfull period of mourning, say 1 week, you can go out and buy a new one.
I'm just kidding, unless you like my idea. I say just get a new ball, the old one wont be mad.

Very Easy. Get a high priced lawyer and file suit against the city for faulty engineering. Plus, sue them for punitive damages and also for emotional distress since the ball was "your favorite." Take the money you win from your city, move to a much nicer one and repeat the process all over. $$$

well, I would get a new one...but if its still there and you want it back that badly tell the city you saw a baby fall into the drain and then when they open up the drain and get the ball you can say "oh I guess it was just a ball" and ask the guy for it.
