Space shuttle Challenger blew up?

In the cafeteria at school (college). My roommate came in and told me. The director of the cafeteria put his tiny little TV on his desk and pushed it to the door of his office and about 100 of us crowded around to watch. I'll never forget it.

At home after calling in sick. When I turned on the TV, I couldn't believe it.

JFK. I was in Physics class at De Anza College.
911. I was just waking up at a casino hotel in Reno.
Not fond memories.
