If he is willing to cheat despite having a girlfriend/wife, what makes you think he would have enough of a conscience to get himself tested or to tell his significant other the truth???

Yes someone that would cheat in the first place would cheat and then have sex with his wife without getting tested and is very, very unlikely to take the initiative to get tested..that would imply a sense of responsibility which he obviously wouldn't have in the first place.
He'll lie with his last breathe and its just not worth the risk, she needs to demand seeing the results of the tests before having unprotected sex with him again.
She also needs to think twice about forgiving him for cheating. This is a sign that he lacks morals, character, impulse control, maturity, self control and respect for her, these are NOT things that change, they are the things that make a person who he is. If she forgives him and he does it again (which he most likely will, remember he's proven that its who he is) then she deserves what she gets. You teach people how to treat you and by forgiving him she is essentially teaching him that he can do it, she'll b^tch about it but ultimately will deal with it and stay anyway (and I don't care how many times she 'says' if you do it again, her actions are saying different).
These things will help her determine if she should give him a second chance or not (after the tests of course)....the first thing to do in a situation like this is realize there is a pattern to the healing process, first there is a lot of anger, second there may be a period when you have sex with your partner (and belive you can forgive them) a lot in order to 'stake your claim' or win your partner back, then the real affects of what has happened set in and thats when you know whether it is something you can deal with or not. I didn't realize this and made mistakes and big decisions while still going through this process and they turned out to be the wrong decisions. I feel that if I had known about this pattern I could have seen things more clearly.
As far as continuing the relationship or not you first need to determine whether or not getting over it is something you should do. I saw 7 things that can help you determine this:
Is it an isolated incident or a pattern of behavior? (including past relationships, even if its the first time he cheated on you has he cheated on other gf's)
Does he own it (take full blame) or does he make excuses for why it happened?
Does he REALLY grasp the damage he's done to you and your relationship or does he just pay it lip service?
Is he sorry for the choice he made or sorry that he got caught?
Is he willing to do what it takes to clean up the mess he made, whatever it takes and however long it takes? or does he want to deny it and move on?
Is it out of character for him or is he insenstive about other things too? (respects your feelings, treats you with dignity, etc)
Is it a legacy or a new behavior? did he grow up in a family where this happened? if its what he learned thats a big clue.
Once you've gone through these and IF you determine that the answers all favor a successful relationship then you take it one day a at a time, if its a history or a pattern you leave and realize that it is the idea of the relationship that you 'love' and not the reality, surely you don't define being loved as someone that devestates you emotionally and doesn't care that he did. you have a lot of thinking to do, but don't worry it WILL get better and you will be ok! Give your friend this information and let her think about things, be supportive but don't be afraid of letting her know if she's being a fool!

Plenty of men do it, but plenty of women do too. The problem is, even if you do get tested, there are some STD's that take a while to come up with a positive result. In this case she could have already gotten it from him because she thought he was clean when the test just hadn't show it yet. If she can't trust this man, then she would be better off leaving him than taking chances with her own health.

ur asking if he could lie????? ummmmm if he is a cheater, he is a liar already so u have ur answer there.. Most people who cheat go for the good feeling of the moment and dont think about the consequences of their actions untill afterwards.. so to ask if he would lie, about things after is sure he would, does it mean that he did? no.. but he is capable of doing it.. and yes if her man has cheated she should not have sex with him again till both him and her are tested especially if he had sex with your friend after he had sex with her.. they should stop all sexual actions untill they are tested.. my brother has a friend who's husband cheated on her, and she has a VD now cause of it.. she didnt want to believe that she caught it from him, but my brother advised her to have him get tested.. (she wanted to believe the test results were wrong or that she caught it some other way) but she had her husband tested and sure enough he had it, and sure enough he ended up admitting to her that he had cheated.. so he could very well of given ur friend something.. and condoms arent a 100% guarantee... so even if he says he wore one, he should still get tested..

Men and women both will have unprotected sex and then go back to their wife/gf and have sex. This is why sexually transmitted diseases have spread to widely. It is pure selfishness of that person. They are uncaring about the life of another and they, themselves should be told to take a hike.
