the best thing I ever bought was an IPOD for my daughter. She has used that thing everyday since last Christmas and has not lost or broken it. She charges it right in the computer so it doesn' t even waste batteries. It is the 1 thing I know she absolutely loved when I got it for her. Now that she is a teenager it is so hard to buy something that I don't get the eye roll with !!

The best thing I ever bought was an Old farmhouse kitchen table 8X4ft handmade out of Elm. It cost £150.00 pounds 20 years ago, but if someone were to offer me 5,000 pounds for it would be No deal!

Everyone sits at it, the grandchildren smother it with their poster paints; beer gets spilled on it; the shopping get dumped on it; cloths get ironed on it; the pastry gets rolled on it, and when it's Christmas friends and family gathers round it. Oh and my cat thinks he owns it.

But when everyone goes and the house is as quiet as a grave yard, it is mine all mine to do with as I please. A great place to sit and read the newspaper also to enjoy a cuppa and listen to the radio.

lol

The best thing I ever bought was my wife's wedding ring. It cost $1,400. I was granted a line of credit by the jewler and was able to actually afford the ring, but I make payments on the jewler's in-store credit card.

An old photo album. All of of the pictures had been taken out. But when I started restoring it I found some of the pictures hidden in the lining. Turns out the pictures were worth more then the album.

Cost of the album: 70$
Appraisal on the pictures. 200$

My house, and it cost 93,900. It is a two story turn of the century with a full attic and half basement, with three rooms, a large living room, dinning room, and kitchen. I mean large for all of it. The only things that are small are the bathrooms, but they can be extended.

In 1971 I paid $3.00 for a Marriage License. It must have been a good one, 35 years later and it still works. Hey that works out to be just a few pennies a year. Pretty good return on an investment if I do say so myself.

My cat - he only cost $10 to get him out of the pound. He has been a great companion, he entertains my children and he comforts me.
