Oh I love south park.

Those charectors don't really represent anything. Token is just a rich kid which they used for a metaphor as a black. Remember the episode where all the south parkians wanted all "rich" people out of town? Notice they were all black. Then they asked what rich people were afriad of and they saiid ghost? then they dressed up like the KKK lol.

Starvin Marvin was orignally created to make fun of christian missionarys that preach the bible rather than feeding poor people (they mostly do this in africa)

Chef- he was the adult that always helped the kids out with knowledge in the early episodes.
Take this one for example

Stan: Chef, whats a lesbian?
Chef: Oh well a lesbian is someone who... oh no damnit. I'm not telling you kids anything no more, you'll get me in trouble.

And to reply to a few above me:

"I haven't seen a black woman in South Park but then again I haven't seen all of the episodes and I could be wrong."
Token's mother appeared a few times. and a black stripper.

Well, originally Chef wasn't a "pervert". The reason is the voice of Chef is Issac Hayes who is a Scientogist. Recently, he quit the show because of an episode aired on South Park that made fun of his religion. The creators responded by making him a "pervert" or taking a shot at Scientogist with the men in the Adventures Club that Chef was a member in.

Chef is probably the most common sense person in South Park and is always having sex with white women. I haven't seen a black woman in South Park but then again I haven't seen all of the episodes and I could be wrong.

As for the rest of the blacks that were mentioned like Token and Starving Marvin you have a valid point but I personally don't think that the creators are racist but they do take shots of anybody and everybody. I hope that helps

Matt and Trey have both said on interviews that they are "Equal Opportunity Offenders."What are the four main characters supposed to represent? Kyles a Jew, Cartmans a fatkid, not to mention theyve had Jesus as a talk show host and Moses as a red and yellow beacon of light. Its a cartoon!!!! If you dont like what they have to say, its a very simple solution. Turn the channel!!!!!

He was the stereotypical "ladies man" and dispenser of wisdome. Issac Hayes' music has been used in many 'black' love scenes since the 1970's. He is actually royalty in Ghana, hence the "sage" aspect of his character.
