Keep a record of all things that put you in a good mood.
Write down which people sense this "type" of mood and gravitate towards your influence where in turn they change their mood when you apply this technique. It usually works best with either skills in the job you perform and your stronger personality traits.
A bad mood is a negative reaction to something in general and are the things that gnaw at a person. Determine if it is really worth thinking about and go back to things that keep you more physically active until the mind can better evaluate, compare, and decide.

A good way to get out of a bad mood is to choose to be in a good mood. Change the thought process and let go of your negitive emotions. As far as changing someone elses mood, we have no control over how other people feel. Just let them process thier feelings and do not allow yourself to be dragged in to thier problem.

I go on walks when I'm in a bad mood. It gets me away from anyone and anything that may be putting me in a bad mood.

Make another person giggle.
Change your mental state so that you can think of things that bring a smile to your face, and bye bye bad mood!

If the person is depressed, getting them to act "as if"...to do something normal, like going shopping or going for a drive, is good.
It's often a hard thing to get them to do, however, and they may be abusive.

Perhaps doing something that makes you laugh?
Something that works for me is to dance to my favourite music.
