Well personally I like to go to the movies by myself because you can just simply relax. I don't want to spend $3.50 for some old popcorn or spend $3.00 for a small cup of soda which is ridiculous. Go to the movies and enjoy yourself. Aloha.

I'll go alone if there is a movie I really want to see and no one is available to go with me and I'm afraid it will go out of theaters before I can see it.
I haven't done it too often, but when I did it was an okay experience. It's kind of nice being able to sit there and not have to worry about someone asking you questions or talking during the movie. You can sit where you want and eat what you want.
The only time I missed being with someone was beforehand, like sitting in the seat waiting for it to start. It's a little lonely, but once the movie starts it really doesn't matter if anyone is with you or not because you're there to watch a movie, no?
I say go for it, but arrive just in time so you don't have to sit and wait so long. I'm sure you'll enjoy the new experience.

I almost prefer to go alone if the movie is very thought provoking or requires a lot of concentration to follow the plot. Comedies I save for viewing at home with the family. Not everyone shares my taste in movies so if I want the big screen experience,I go alone.

i almost always go to movies by myself. i used to think it was weird but then i missed out on a lot of great movies. so one day i just went and i really enjoyed it. i rarely watch movies with someone else now. i'm kind of a fanatic about movies too. i like to be the only one in the theatre with my popcorn and soda. i get more into the movie that way.
if you want to go, just go. it's better than staying home and missing the movie.

Yes I do think it's fun to go to the movies alone because sometimes I need a break from going to the movies with my friends because most of them talk and I can't watch the movie when there talking to me.

It seems to me that you want to go to the movies alone, but you aren't sure that it's OK to want to go alone or you aren't sure if it will really be a fun experience.
The only way to know for yourself is to try it. Be brave, go ahead and do what you want and see if you enjoy the experience of watching a movie in the theater alone. Really no one can tell you how you will feel about it. Everyone is telling you their feelings about the experience, which is fine, because that is what you asked for.
So, go girl, what are you waiting for? The big screen is waiting for you.

Yup. Here are a few percs:
You just go when you want and if you have a selection of theatres to choose from, you can go to your fave.
You can sit wherever you feel like without having to debate it.
If you don't like people talking to you during the movie, . . .
You get both elbow rests.
You can flirt with other people if the opportunity arises, without comment from your boyfriend, friends, family,. . .
The popcorn is aaalllll yours!

If I want to see a movie, I go. And some times I pretend it is a command performance just for me!
So, just go and see your movie and enjoy.
If I am with the right people, then going with one or more is better.
Actually recently I have found out it can be worse!

I like my alone time...going to movies is a good activity to do alone, because it's not lonely. Even if you are with someone, at least it's this way for me, I don't want to talk and interact during the movie anyway.
