Your cervical fluid will become abundant and like egg whites when you are fertile. I'm very sorry for your loss. I've been there a couple of times, myself.

What you'll want to do is get a basal body temp thermometer, take your temperature and check for your mucus every day. Take your temp on waking, before you even get out of bed. Check your fluids whenever you get a chance and chart any changes you may see. When your fluids are like egg white, you're at your fertile time. When your temperature goes up, you have ovulated. If it stays up past the time your period is supposed to start, you are probably pregnant. Good luck!

It becomes milky and slippery. Have you tried using one of the ovulation tests?
