For the guy who said it reminds him of "Manilow", the last syllable is not pronounced like "low". It's a short O sound.
The name is pronounced [Da-nee-lo], right?
And yes, I think it's a rarely-used name and I like it a lot. I hear it from Latin America and the Philippines.
Nice name.
