honestly, it depends on the person. Having a monkey, regardless of breed requires a lot of responsibility...the more intellegent they are, the more trouble they might want to get in. If you seriously were considering it, I would suggest a female, as they are more docile. and If you are getting a baby, you will have to spend ALL of your time with it as monkeys learn all of their behaviors from their parents. If you have a lot of space and no other pets, depending on the breed you want, a monkey can be a very good idea...I suggest if you are seriously considering it, there is a parapelgic training school for monkeys(they train monkeys to be the hands of a paralyzed person) you could either sign up as a trainer(in which case, they could train you) or you could get one of their drop outs(meaning they're probably very well behaved, but maybe to excitable for someone who would be completely reliant on them). Avoid getting a chimp. They are sooooo much like us that they are just as rebellious to authority.

Maybe not a monkey. They'll just wreck the place. But if you got an ape such as a chimp, you could probably train it to walk the dog for you, freeing up some precious leisure time.

Unless you have the knowledge to care for such an animal as in health risks vet care feeding habits sanitation etc you shoudnt get a monkey.There exotic and not many people know how to care for them properly.

No very bad idea. They are like having a two year old that can do whatever it want. not a good thing and unless your an animal trainer you wont be able to controll it. plus it will take all your time to clean after him. they wont use the toilet.

well if you have a big house and you know how to work with monkeys yes you may take one there are very clever and fluffy( i know it sounds gay )=))

NO!!! believe me! i had a monkey in a foriegn country once (colombia) and they will wreak havok on EVERYTHING!!!!!
