i have tried installing yahoo toolbar with anti spy v6.2 but it has that crappy norton spyware scan prog... i want the older version of the anti spy

Getting the old version won't really matter you know. If yahoo has stopped updating the definitions then it's going to go out of date sooner or later. Besides, yahoo's anti-spy wasn't that good of a security application anyways. Just use a standalone scanner like spybot or Ad-aware.
