I will start out by saying that I already know that every labor is different. I am just wondering about personal experiences from women that have had more than one child, and went into labor naturally (without being induced) both times, did you go into labor during the same week or were they far apart? I had my first at 38 weeks, and I am 38 weeks now. I am hoping for labor soon but I just want to know how it happened for you all. And please don't waste everyones time with unserious answers.

My first was born on his due date - went into labor the day before. My second was due about 5 days before his due date - the day before I was going to be induced because we live so far from the hospital. Second one shot right out and only had 1 stitch and the first I was in labor for a long time and had a lot of stitches.

I went into labor differently with all of my pregnancies. My first was 41 almost 42 weeks, the second was 37 weeks, the third and fourth were 40 weeks, and the twins were last and I went into labor the first time and almost 34 weeks, and had them at 36 weeks. So you never know, they are all different. And actually, all my labors were pretty much the same with all of them, fast and furious.

My daughter was kinda funny, I honestly thought I had to go to the bathroom, then realized my water had broke. About 2 and half hours latter she was born. She was supposed to get here on Nov 25 she waited till the 30th lol I got two stiches from her. Those hurt worse than the labor. My Son was set to be a July baby but waited til the 4th of August, and we were kinda waiting to see what would come first, our anniverasary or him. He did by two week. The lady who helped me deliver didnt beleive my husband when he said I was in labor, I thought I had gas. Not sure how long his labor was, i got bored after a couple hours and took a nap.15 min after I woke up he was here. No stiches with him. Both all natural, and I did not take ant pain medications from either.

Hello I have had two, my first actually came late and she was born at 41 weeks, I started labor on my own. I walked every day until I finally started labor. I had a vaginal birth. For my second child I went into labor two days before I was due. However due to the fact that my second was 1.5 lbs larger than my first I had to have a c-section. After being in labor for two days my Dr. gave me the choice and I decided to have the c-section because I was exhausted. Now let me say that my water never broke on its own for either. The first time they broke it a few hours before I gave birth. The second time the tried but it was too painful for them to keep trying to I said to just wait. My second baby had a larger head than my first even though they were the same length and I think that had his head been smaller I would of been able to have him vaginal as well. He had two red marks on his head from being pushed against my pelvic bone. My doctor said when you get close walk as much as you can, because gravity can work in your favor. Good Luck.

well, 25 years ago, and some months, i came a week late. my mother said i was an easy pregnancy.

a year and some months later, my sister was born 5 weeks early. tough pregnancy, and melanie is still not fully developed - also, she can never give birth herself

nearly 3 years later my sister michelle came a few days late, and was an easy labor

almost 5 years later kimmy was an early labor by a week, but passed easy.

8 and a half years later jacqui was born a week late, with an easy labor

and finally, 7 years ago, jake was born like two weeks early, in an easy labor.

so to answer you, it seems the time differences have nothing to do with you and/or your patterns. also, it seems that labor gets easier through time. but then.. perhaps my mom just got used to it? heh.

My first child was two weeks early but I was very active working and walking and exercise. My second child was two weeks late and I hear that doctors don't like to wait that long anymore for fear that the baby will have a bowel movement inside the womb. Both of my children were delivered naturally without anything to dull pain. I would do it again that way if I had another child.

For my first child, my water broke naturally at home. I did not have any strong contractions so for health reasons, they decided to induce me (it was dangerous for my baby to get an infection as he was not longer protected by the amiotic fluid). Labour of 36 hours in total.

My second son, I started with mild contractions then, strong contractions. I went to the hospital and they had to break my waters with a hook. Labor of 7 hours in total.

I had both babies right on the day my doctor had calculated - both had the same weight and same height!

Good luck to you!

my first was 2 days late and induced. my seconded was stopped at 6 months and then born 2 weeks early by an emergency c-section. They are all different. my first I thought I was going to die from pain. My second I never felt more than a cramp even before the drugs. God speed. If you are thinking of getting your tubes tied, be sure. Because unless you are wealthy you can not get it reversed. Whoever does not want anymore children is the one who needs to get the tubal.
