Why do gravel roads have only three tire tracks for two lanes of traffic? Shouldn't there be four tracks?

cause 90% of the time you spend on a gravel road you are driving in the middle

On gravel roads, most people drive more toward the center of the road until a) they come to a hill and then move to the right, or b) until they meet oncoming traffic and then move to the right. So that middle lane is where the driver's side of the car is traveling until it has to move over.
