What was the first song you remember hearing that really turned you onto the non radio friendly heavy metal. Mine was Accept's " Balls to the Wall", that guitar intro hooked me for life on Metal, starting in 1984. evolving now into slayer, pantera, overkill, six feet under, kataklysm etc...Thanks for your input

from there into punk, hardcore and all over the place musically now. as far as metal I think Mastodon is the band at the top of their game right now. Loving them.

i don't be responsive to Chris Brown's dance strikes are the main suitable. i think of Slipknot could be on Dancing With the celebs mask and all yet unlike only Corey yet like numerous 12 or extremely contributors I lose count variety of. Then and purely then will I vote Slipknot. nicely thus i'm in no way asserting Slipknot is undesirable only not a fav of mine. steel community like it exist, you made that up.. a opposition is going to alter each and every thing.

once i heard the british steel album from judas priest i was hooked right from the opening note of breaking the law...i knew my days of radio rock were at a standstill at that point which was 25 years ago...haven't looked back and havebeen a metalhead ever since...
coincidentally the first Heavy Meatal concert i was allowed to attend was Crue's Shout at the Devil tour with Accept opening up...I thought Udo and the rest of the band were so cool when they started putting their balls to the wall (they humped their amplifiers) lol... cheers

It was Iron Man & War Pigs in '80. Then I heard Number of the Beast in '82 and I was hooked forever!!!

I've been a metalhead since before birth, but when I was little (this'll give you an idea of how old I am) I remember thinking GNR's "Welcome to the Jungle" was really cool and I loved it, even though I had no clue what it was about. I still love GNR.

I can't remember the first one but a song i love that everyone else thinks is useless is "detox" by strapping young lad it rocks so hard.
