Ya know I had to ask cause I'm 31 and still not feeling very mature. I'd like to be a kid forever. Well, sometimes.

Frankly its not about "The Age"... Its about the situations you've been through and how you reacted towards them. That what truly makes you mature or a child.
You can be driven in a situation a 40 year old man couldn't react in it and never has been in such a situation and he never learned, but on the other hand there might be a young man/woman who has been put in such bad circumstances and reacted upon this matter whether right or wrong, but the important thing is that they learned something from this situation and acted upon it.
Life situations is what teaches you, not your age.
And I'm telling you this based on (Personal Experience) while I'm still Very Young! And I've also seen examples around me, where people in there mid- thirties or something and don't know what to do about this or that.

Guess it depends on your definition of mature, the old adage 'you're only as old/young as you feel' springs to mind. Some days i definitely feel more mature, and other days you could mistake me for a 15yr old (I'm 35). Your term 'occur' kinda suggest to me, that you think a defining moment must happen before we can grow up, sometimes like with tragic events people are forced to grow up much faster than they would've normally and they miss out on what we call a normal childhood, the innocents of youth as it were. For me it's one day at a time and i try to keep the kid in me alive and happy, hope yours is 2

At age 12, when I started having real responsibilities, like going to school all day & baby-sitting at night & on the weekends. I had to be mature in order to be responsiable for the children in my care. I also felt good about the fact that I was able to earn & save my owen money.

well, it depends on the event that was going on in your life that would make you realize that. and that could be a range of many different ages. i was 20, when i knew i had to leave my b/f at the time for the safety and well being of my baby and me. and from then on, i've been a single mother and that makes you stronger and more mature faster than anything else.
