There are always two sides to every story, never forget that.
It does sound as if you were there for her when she needed you, but did something ''go wrong" while she was staying with you? It sounds like she left upset with you and your family? So what else happened? Was there some sort of confrontation? Did your family ask her to leave or start paying for the pop tarts she was eating?
In any case, It certainly would have been appropriate for her to thank you for your hospitality and thank your family for being so generous and helpful.
This may be a friendship that couldn't survive living together...

Your friend sounds like she may have been angry about something when she left but that is still no excuse for not thanking you and your family for giving her a place to stay. How important is this friendship to you? If you miss her and want to renew your friendship, then approach her the next time you see her and ask innocently if she was angry about something when she left. If she refuses to answer and avoids making eye contact, you can choose to end the friendship there or encourage her to talk about it. Maybe someone in your family can shed some light on the subject. Ask about it.

My guess is that your friend tohught a month was way too long for her stauing there, and by getting another place she'd be "doing something good". So, I don't know why you got mad at ther, I mean I kind of understand that you felt hurt because she didn't comunicate better with you, but talk things out first!

I see two possible answers, which I humbly present to you. Simply put ... I would think she took advantage of the free ride and got off perhaps. Or maybe your boyfriend did something to disrespect her, causing her to act the way she did. Not wanting to stir any turmoil she up and left the situation. Two plausible answers, but only one way to find out ... keep the lines of communications open to at least find out the answer for yourself.
