Why is the destroying of so many lives in Lebanon justified?

It wasn't justified, as the UN representative who spoke on the BBC news at 10 said the other night, how f'rinstance could the bombing of that UN base complete with eight disinterested staff inside, be justified - they were expedient it seems, their impartial knowledge of events may have helped the opposition, of course this attitude of expedience doesn't stop with innocent onlookers - it continues with innocent civilians, that is the message they want to get across - they don't care what the world thinks- after all the world didn't give tuppence for 'Israelites' back in the '30s, I am not an apologist, but hope this clarifies where they are coming from.

I wonder if the family next door to you came over to your house and grabed one of your kids if you would do anything about it. I bet you would kill anyone that tried to keep you away from that kid. If they fight you then they will have to be beatin down to get you baby back.

Those people in lebanon should not back a group like hezbollah. Israel was just bombing rocket lanchers and it is just too bad that the women had their babies near when they were helping their men load the launchers. I think only the small kids was a shame. The older ones was helping in the fighting and made them a legal target. If they was not there to fight then they should have gotten away from the launchers and the Hezbollah fighters. I really don't think anyone but Hezbollah fighters was killed.

Depends on how you look at it. And if you seen a big dog playing in his own yard would you go poke him with a stick? If you do you are a very stupid person. The big dog will bite your @ss off. Same for Hezbollah and Israel. They poked the big dog and got their @sses bit off.

differentiate between competant and american and large, they dont go together, specialised units are competant, armies and i still say america sets too much precedant with technology are best when men are on the ground they are the real peacemakers not politicians you can win over a population by your actions not by bombs ,american politicians are afraid to put men on the ground because they are not trained to think they are trained to fight and win sometimes it is better to listen and deal with people with compassion but still allow your enemy no quarter, there is a very old british saying that goes the battle has just begun when the fighting stops,

Not sure i get your first question but the second question is simple enough - it isn't justified! Some may try to rationalise it but the plain truth is obvious to anyone with half a brain and a willingness to see through the propaganda.
