Thank you gp4rts for your answer. I can do it with the truth table, but I also have to do it just showing how to simplify it using algebra steps. Can you help me with this also?

err.. is this a calculus problem?
if it is then....

remember that d/dx [ax^(n)] = (n)ax(n-1)
in this problem… A=1A(1)
so A’ = d/dx [A] = d/dx [1A^(1)] = (1)1A^(1-1) = (1)1A^(0) = (1)1(1) = 1
so A + A’B = A + (1) B = A + B

i imagine in case you position each and every variable as actual (a million) then the reply will be a million on account that a million*a million*0 + 0*a million*0 + a million*0*0 + 0*0*0 + a million = a million -> 0+0+0+0+a million=a million * P1: X = 0 or X = a million * P2: 0 . 0 = 0 * P3: a million + a million = a million * P4: 0 + 0 = 0 * P5: a million . a million = a million * P6: a million . 0 = 0 . a million = 0 * P7: a million + 0 = 0 + a million = a million (My wager)

L.O.L. If you need help doing your homework, you should ask your teacher, that way maybe you will really learn. If you are given the answer, isn't that the same as cheating, and a fast way to ignorance!

I'm not sure what restrictions you have on your method, but you could set up a truth table for the problem:

A..|..B..|.A+A'B.|.A+B.|
---------------------------------
0..|..0..|....0......|...0....|
0..|..1..|....1......|...1....|
1..|..0..|....1......|...1....|
1..|..1..|....1......|...1....|

The two results are the same, so they are equal. (EDITED 9/03)
