StarCraft. You'll have to find StarCraft and the Brood War expansion cds, (walmart for $20 for both and guides) but free online multiplayer. It's the best deal around. There really is no such thing as a totally free online game, at least not one that's worth playing.

Runescape may not be multiplayer but you get to talk to people from all around the world.

You should check out secondlife. It has a teen version and an adult version. It is free to play, but for a nominal fee you can buy land and build anything you can dream up.

the best one ive seen so far is runescape,you dont need to download anthing either,but it has CRAPPY graphics,and it has way too many ppl playing
