I have been trying to get pregnant for a years now but after my husband and I have intercourse quite a large amount of semen appears to leak out of me. I know its a horrible question but is this normal?

Yes it is normal, you should be laying down with your hips and legs raised in the air straight after sex for at least 20 minutes!!! Thats probably y your haven't concieved! Whateva you do don't get up after sex and never use the toilet!! If you use this technique you'll find very little if any sperm will leak out. And never let your husband blow while your on top, it doesn't get closer enough to the cervix, make sure he's always on the top.

Yes, it's absolutely normal. I've heard of methods whereby the female lies with her legs in the air to stop it dribbling out but I have to profess a certain amount of skepticism about its effectiveness. When semen is initially ejaculated, it is a runny liquid, so small amounts will dribble out. Very rapidly, enzymes will cause it to coagulate, hence limiting the dribbling. The coagulation gives the sperm a chance to enter the cervix before all the fructose laden semen drains away. (In some species, the coagulation also forms a hard plug to prevent fertilisation from subsequent copulation, but this isn't true for humans.) Once it is has coagulated, slower acting enzymes will gradually help to break it down into liquid again. This allows the gradual release of sperm over several hours, making it more likely that there will be viable sperm in the reproductive tract when an ovum is released. This gradual breakdown is why there can be prolonged dripping.

If you can be pregnant or if you have infertility problems I reccomend to follow this method http://pregnancy.toptips.org

Many factors can cause a couple trouble in conceiving a baby, I'll list a few of the most common ones in women:
Anorexia or other dietary dysfunctions
Lacking amounts of FSH and LH are produced, so ovaries aren't as functional as they could be, and so not many eggs are produced
Stress, causing periods to become irregular
Medications such as cancer treatments, antidepressants, hormone therapy, pain killers, and antipsychotic drugs can all cause temporary infertility.

With the method that I posted above you will be able to get pregnant!

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.

Try to lay with your legs in the air for 20 mins...less leakage does increase your chances of getting pregnant..
To say that any sperm which were going travel to the egg to fertilise it, will have done so immediately is totally false.
Also It can be quite a while for the sperm to die off when in the female body & it is possible for fertilisation to take place well after the sperm has been placed into the female.

yes, alot will leak out but alot will swim up to your tubes. i have heard the old wives tale of giving gravity a helping hand by raising your lower end up high to stop the semen leaking out? not sure if its medically proven but suppose you could give it a try, won't hurt and it could just do the trick?

When you can't get pregnant, and things look good from the outside, it can be extremely frustrating. Anyway this is a great method to get pregnant: https://tr.im/xfhLv
The first thing to consider is how long have you been trying. About 80% of couples will get pregnant after six months of trying, and about 90% will be pregnant after 12 months of trying to get pregnant

it is perfectly normal for semen to leak out,but if you are trying to conceive then place a pillow underneath your bum during sex and try to keep your legs raised after sex for as long as possible, also dont concentrate on making a baby, concentrate on making love, its a lot less stressful and more enjoyable, trying too hard will not help.good luck

The semen that comes out is not a problem as it is just the carrier for the sperm. If any sperms are going to travel to eggs they will do so immediately so the by product is what comes out.

yes! Try lifting your pelvis in the air after for 10 mins to 'help' it stay in there longer. Or if on all fours, tilt your bum up - either way is said to aid conception!
