In order to consistently keep your weight under control, it is advisable to walk about 10,000 steps daily. It is the easiest activity among all the exercise programs and does not involve stress to the body. Apart from the activity of walking, a systematic dietary pattern should be followed so that you are always free from the obesity symptoms.

Burn calories. You have to burn more calories than you consume. If you don't, you won't lose weight. Keep a notebook or journal of everything you eat and the calories. Tally them up throughout the day to see what you are consuming. Cut that back by a few hundred calories for a few weeks and see what happens. I have to stay under 1500 a day or I won't lose weight. I'm 5'3" with a medium build, but I love to eat. 1500 is my max. It's easy to eat that in a day too. Divide that into three meals and a snack a day and you get about 300 to 400 calories per meal. A cup of coffe with creme and sugar has about 75 caloreis, a piece of dry toast has 60 - 70, a banana has about 100. Doesn't take long to add up. You will see. Keep the journal. Eliminate the high calorie items in your diet. Look for foods with lots of fiber and protien. You cut those calories and get that heart rate up for 30 minutes a day three times a week and you willllll lose some weight. You don't have much to lose, so it shouldn't be difficult.

The best way is to watch your calories and up your exercise. It doesn't have to be huge changes. Just be aware of what you're eating, and then be aware of how much you exercise or formally work out.
It can be tough when you work out because you tend to get more hungry. Using a food journal helps.
Easiest way is to do cardio to lose weight and lift weights for strength. The scale doesn't matter if you're physically strong. You can tell by your pants size.
