Just like the others are telling you. Click the Pencil and select uninstall and complete the process to uninstall Yahoo Toolbar. After you have uninstalled Yahoo Toolbar exit Internet Explorer and then bring it back up. Yahoo Toolbar should be gone and you can proceed to install the old version once again. The only thing I did different was that I went to CNET and downloaded the version I had before I made the mistake of upgrading. I am happy once again. Here is the addy for the download page:

If you want the old Yahoo! Toolbar Back follow the directions below.

Click the pencil icon on Yahoo! Yoolbar, a menu will drop down, click Uninstall, and uninstall your current version. Go to the site below on the right side of the page and download an older version with Yahoo! Anti-Spy. They have two older versions available.

This site also has the older version.

*If the downloads above don't work:
If you had the older version and updated, this might work, do a System Restore. Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore, and restore to a point before you updated. The only problem is you will lose anything you downloaded after that point. System Restore will probably work. I know Norton Go Back will work, if you have it.

Uninstall the program

Go to:
START > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs

Wait for Windows to figure out what programs are installed on your computer and then go though the list alphabetically and find your undesired program(s). Select that program and then click on the Change/Remove button, and say goodbye to that nasty program.
