If they have no rooms available, you are SOL. YOu could try and wait until after 6pm and if there are any uncofirmed reservations they will usually sell those rooms then

If it's sold out, there are no rooms. I work at a hotel and believe me, nobody's holding anything back from you. If they say there is nothing available, 9 times out of 10 its true.
I'm in agreement with Chad on the 6pm holds.

Sometimes when a hotel is "sold out" I've found rooms available by going online to one of the hotel booking sites....such as hotels.com, expedia.com, travelocity.com or even the actual hotel web site.

Try Expedia.com or Hotel.com. They book some rooms in advance, and sell them to their customers. If you're lucky, you'll get a room. And it will be at a lower price than the hotel is charging.

#2 check out all search engines, yahoo, kayak and tripadvisor is a good one.
#3 Keep calling- alot of people make changes to their vacations- including cancelling- keep checking back with hotel....ask if they can contact you if that day opens up.

If it is sold out then you cant get a room..Ask them if anybody cancels their reservations then see if you can have that persons room..

I have found that if you get on line through their web sites, alot of them will have rooms available through the cooperate site. Why this is, I do not know but it has worked for me several times.
