This happened with some of the upgrades from Microsoft and I had to unplug the printer, turn off the computer, turn on the computer, wait for the computer to do its thing, then plug the printer back in. It seemed to work. The printer had to be re programed back into the computer for it to work again.

Without stating exactly what's wrong with it you're not going to get any useful help. Re post your question with some more detail such as -
What doesn't work? The printer or the computer trying to print?
Do you get an error message?
Does it need a new cartridge?
Can Windows see the printer?
etc

Usually, when a printer stops working in Windows ME, it is because of a corrput driver issue. You may need to reinstall the driver to fix the issue.
Otherwise, it may be a loose cable, lack of printer ink, etc.
