A lot of people on the right like to defend Bush by saying that Clinton should have done this or he shouldn't have done that. Bush has been in office almost 6 years. When does it start becoming his responsibility?

the simple fact is the party that loves to promote personal responsibility... is clearly the last one to take personal responsibility...

people need to get off welfare and support themselves... but everything is Clinton's fault... this is their mantra... everything you and I do wrong is your fault... and stop dodging responsiblity...

It's not all Clinton's fault. I'm sure that the following Democratic presidents also made Bush life's work hell:
Jimmy Carter
Lydon Johnson
JFK
Harry Truman
FDR
Woodrow Wilson
Grover Cleveland
James Polk
Martin Van Buren
and
Andrew Jackson

Well, here is what I blame Pres Clinton for and why.

1. He refused to deal with the terrorism problem. He allowed attacks on the US: USS Cole, World Trade Center in 1993, Mogadishu, and the list goes on. The terrorists learned in those 8 years that they could attack the US and there would be no consequences. He gave nuclear material to our enemies the North Koreans. Clinton's ideals of appeasement of evil do not work. Military force and killing them is the only solution. Had he dealt with these issues, we would not have many of the problems that we have today. Clinton focused more on his image than anything else. But this is how liberals deal with things.

2. We are still undoing the damage to our national security. Specifically, there were a lot of cuts in funding and walls that prevented sharing of information. Clinton had the premise that civil liberties were more important than protecting this country.

The premise of your question is good. There are too many partisan Republicans out there.

Does it matter who's fault it is?

Nobody (so far) answered this question right.

If any of these guys were held responsible for things they screw up, wouldn't you think by now they'd be getting some jail time instead of guaranteed pensions?

The real guys who did that deed on 911 will never turn up, so who do you blame for anything?

We've become a blameless, wasteful, self indulgent, throw-away society...and all I keep seeing is questions like these.

Everyone's trying to find out who is really responsible, and I believe I found out.

It's not Clinton and it's not Bush.

It's the system we live under and how it keeps changing under our eyes.

It's like magicians are doing their tricks on us, and we are the idiots being duped.

Some day somebody will be asked to do some serious paying up for all these crazy endeavors under present regime.

And all we keep saying is...It's Clinton's fault.

Well, I ask Bill Clinton here and Now:

Mr. Clinton, why did America abandon your program of paying down the National Debt?

have you ever noticed that repubilcans dont usually respond to specific questions that point to the present administrations shortcomings without bursting out into a rant about Clinton humping fat chicks? Yah, it looks like you do notice, and thats great. Its time to start calling the conservatives out on this.
Cinton was NOT a great president as far as foreign policy goes. Hes got blood on his hands just like GW. he, however had an outstandingly higher intelect that GW, and things were better HERE with him at the helm , despite the crap abroad.
There are a lot of republicans that are quite ashamed of GW, but I think they are defensive and in denial because they feel so confused. Imagine if the guy you voted for turned so psycho that the whole world hated him. I feel bad for the repubs. Their credibility dwindles daily.

Of course it's Bush's responsibility. Every president inherits problems...it's what he does with them that counts. Bush has only made his problems 100 times worse. Clinton had us out of debt. We will now be in debt for 4 or 5 generations due to the war Bush picked in Iraq. He listened to Cheyney. Big mistake.

Clinton did a lot of great things for this country. In my opinion, more things than Bush has done.

AlI can say is Bill Clinton was the best president ever. He did everything there was to do as a president, people fail to realize that. He save millions of dollars before he came out of office, He help get so many people off welfare to better there life> he showed he cared for people. He was not a bout this war crap. He did so much more. As soon as he came out of office, the world trade thing happened. The only thing that man did wrong was cheat on his wife, thats it. and if his wife chose to forgive him that was none of our buisiness! ALL those damn presidents cheat, they just have not got caught. If you notice people still refer to him as MR.PRESIDENT and he did not have to cheat to get elected. when bush does come out of office, he will just be considered as george, thats all. If it was up to me I would have Bill Clinton as president over and over again, he was a great man and still is.......................

back in Clinton's day i didn't realize the impact of his passing of the WTO,GATT ,NAFTA ,etc trade agreements,i thought those people protesting in Seattle where crazy.but now i see what is happening to our jobs.globalization means bringing down U.S. wages to third world levels or moving our jobs overseas. I've done factory work ,sure it sucks ,but it did put food on the table, and i was a consumer. if all blue collar work goes who will drive the economy? the rich? doubt it. bring back tariffs.please
