"Tennessee" Ernie Ford. His show was a little before my time, but his biggest hit, "Sixteen Tons" was the #1 hit on the Billboard pop music charts at the time I was born, if you can believe THAT!
Personally, I think the song sucks, but I guess back in '55 a lot of people thought that was real good music!!!
