I'll be 50 in a couple of weeks and I'm going to school. That probably won't appeal to you, but the idea is to do something totally unexpected. My husband is a mechanic and took up racing.
My son trades coins and plans to buy a house. My daughter reads history books and writes historical fiction. Just find a hobby you can immerse yourself into. Or join a commune, or a club and surround yourself with people who have interests in common with you. Good luck.

Volunteer to help others. It will give you the biggest kick you can imagine. Also you could take up rock climbing, skiing, sky diving, etc.

do something that you wouldn't ordinarily do. Whatever your instincts tell you to do but you're fear tells you not to do...do it anyway!
