you should heed the advice of your doctor. when you get a contusion, you get headaches and nausea, and the bruising won't go down for a couple of days. how long you will be out depends on the severity of the injury.

It depends on how bad it is I play hockey and I figure skate, and on my hockey team and the other teams in the league you aren't allowed to play the rest of the game with a concussion and you can't play for the rest of the week (I think that's stupid but it's the rules), but last week at figure skating a girl got a concussion went to the hospital (because she kinda had to cause she passed out on the ice and got her finger run over but we're talking about concussions)and the next day she was skating again but I dont know how bad it was, so I think it all depends on the severity of the concussion. I have another friend who figure skates who has had 7 concussions and the doctors have told her she has one more concussion left before she gets brain damage or something I guess, but she still skates, shes just a little more careful now.

I've played with one right away. They tell you to wait awhile weather it is serve or not too bad. Mine have all been very serve, but nothing is going to stop me from playing so I guess I am not the person to ask.
Play when you know you will be able to.

stay out until all of the symptoms are completely gone!!! do not come back early, because coming back too early can make things worse...get your doctors clearance before you play again!
