What is it? how do i get it or open it or whatever... i open up some of my programs up and it says "blah blah blah Diect X"... can someone plz help me.

It allows you to access certain programs or use your web cam on the net. It is simular to Active X. Without it some programs may not function.

It has something to do with Java and flash. Some websites require up to date DirectX to work. It is a microsoft component and you can update it on their website.

Direct X is sometimes needed to retrieve information from your computer.
It is usually a good thing, but sometime can be nasty...
Good anti-virus and security can delete these...
