Well theres a small chance you will, and a bigger chance that you wont. Start acting now. I would get involved in your community theatre. take some acting classes now. Because you don't always know how good you are. So Start acting now.

If you are talented, work hard and can take 'No' for an answer, you have a chance of making it in the acting business. Of course, that all depends on what you consider making it. Earning a living with acting? Few do. Look at any of the performing union websites for statistics. They are a tad depressing. Most of the money is made by less than 10% of the membership. That means 90% of professional actors are not making enough money to live on.

If making it means enjoying every last aspect of the acting business, whether it be getting your photograph taken, learning lines, continuously pursuing both your craft and your business , then you might have a chance.

Take the drama classes.

Everyone has a chance.... but you should start acting NOW... in community theater productions at least. You need to guage how much actual talent you have... From the raw talent you can get training at colleges. However the premier programs, such as the Tisch School at NYU, you must audition to get a seat.

If you do go into the business, be prepared for rejection... you will get plenty of it. and if you do go into the business, be aware that the average actor or actress makes about $15,000 per year. That includes people like Duston Hoffman, who makes 8 figures per picture.

For more guidance on how to break into the business look at the websites for the Screen Actors' Guild sag.org
or the Actors' Equity Association actorsequity.org

Who knows. Many people that study acting do NOT make a living at it. Have another career in mind. Many actors end up as background actors, ating teachers, or waiters/waitresses.

Taking drama classes and college acting classes is no guarantee of a successful career. One must have TALENT, which is not easy to find. Showbiz is a difficult field, it helps if you have connections in the business.

acting has no garantees i have taking 4 yrs of dramatic arts in a los angeles hs so i am well informed on this all i can tell you is if this is truely what you want it a ton of hard work and it al boils down to setting up a good portfolio going out on as many auditions as possible and here the real kicker being in the right place at the right time is 95 percent of making it because the are a million who are trying to make it in showbiz and only a very few get recongnized

I taught for over thirty years in University Theatre Arts Department and some students that I thought would go far are still struggling. One of my students, who was bright, had the energy but was a terrible actor and a great banjo player and I never expected to see him go anywhere ... his name Steve Martin. It's hard to tell and a lot depends on right time, right place, but underneath you got to have the commitment to the art.

Drama classes will definately help, but if tou really want to be an actress, you should move to Hollywood and take a job as a waitress in one of the smaller cafe's there. GOOD LUCK

I don't know how anyone could honestly answer this question without actually seeing you perform.

If you are serious about becoming an actor, you need to do two things: you need to get training, and you need to get experience. Once you have done these two things you will be better able to judge whether you are "cut out" for the biz.
