Yes, I do it alone all the time when I go to Jamaica. Just use common sense. Don't go at night on the beach alone or even with someone, don't leave with the silver tongued locals and go somewhere alone with them, don't flash money or jewelry. Same stuff you wouldn't do at home. Jamaica is NOT a dangerous place. The only place I wouldn't walk around in Jamaica is Kingston.

Some of the smaller towns are safer than the big cities Kingston & Montego Bay. People in the small towns appreciate the tourist and our $$$.
