Yes, it feels just like that, hard and round. It's not like regular flab at all.

The best way to figure this out is to understand how big your uterus is at that point in pregnancy. Wherever your uterus is, it'll be hard and round.
Here's a link to a drawing/diagram of the uterus/baby at 2 months:
http://www.babycenter.com/general/3277.html
At one to two months, your uterus is still safely tucked into your pubic area... Once your uterus pokes above your pelvis you can sometimes start to push down and feel a hard rounded area above your pubic bone. I can't remember when this happened for me, although I think it was later than 2 months if I'm remembering correctly.
I did have a ton of bloating in the first trimester, so I that also gave my entire stomach a "hard" feeling, but I don't think its what you're describing, and it is definitely a different "hard" than when I started to show.
Good luck!

For me, I didn't feel hard and round until I was exactly three months. I think it gets completely hard when your around there. When your 1-2 months it starts to get hard, but not exactly. Hope that helps.

That is correct but I was around 3 months when I felt it better and at 4 months it would get really hard and then go back to normal...I loved being pregnant..

Yes, some women feel that at that stage of pregnancy. I did. Not all do.
Your friend needs to take a pregnancy test.
