Guys don't like knowing a omwen is wearing makeup. Men do like women who are atractive. If a man sees a women who is atracctive and can't tell she is wearing makeup, he will think seh is even hotter. This is the catch though, Because men don't like makeup does not mean that a women should not wear makeup. Makeup can help you look better. the truth is though, you are lying to the guy. guys do not think to thmelselves, wow, that shade of eyeshadow really looks sexy on you. They think, wow, that girl IS sexy. We don't want to think that a girl is cute because she has makeup on. We very well may think a girl is cute that happens to be wearing makeup. It might even be because of the makeup. But don't care about the makeup itself. We are just fooled into thinking that is how the girl looks normally.


This is a subtle difference, you might have to think about this and read it slowly to get it.

Bottom line, wear makeup to cover flaws, but not for much else.

I agree, here's my take. I think that perceiving women as attractive has a lot to do with men quietly, subconsciously pretending the woman is not wearing makeup. It is a willful delusion, one of many we live with (for example, a BBQ steak is a delicious meal, not a piece of dismembered corpse.)

Men like to live in fantasy land when it comes to women, and why not? But its best to be aware of it... I get that way too sometimes, looking at pretty people and other things - it feels good to observe beauty around you and decide to feel it as if it is real. Otherwise, reality is so harsh and tiring.

men seek a refuge from the pain of life in women, on all levels, from the visual to the emotional and wanting her to create a cozy domestic nest and so on.
