I sent someone a package on August 8th. That person lives in Arizona and I live in Ohio. It was delivered on August 10. The person in Arizona refused the package and had it sent back to me.

Now, would I have received that package by now, nearly a month later? I think the person out in Arizona is lying and never actually refused the package.

EDIT

I have a traacking number and it says that the package WAS delivered, but it does not say anything about the package being refused. Would the USPS.com system tell me if that package was refused?

If the package had been refused at the point of delivery the Letter Carrier would have entered a code into his/her MSP scanner indicating as much. "Delivered" and "Refused" are too totally different and mutually exclusive choices on the Letter Carrier's scanner. Your correspondent is, at the very best, mistaken.

It sounds like you sent it Express or Priority. There is a tracking number assigned to it--if it was. Check with your local Post Office and they can tell you, it would be easier if you have the receipt.
If that fails call the PO in Arizona at that zip code. They should be able to track it. Good luck.

you need to go to your post office and ask for a package to be "traced". you have to wait 1 month (usps has 30 days to deliver a package) before you can ask for a trace.

You should have sent it with a trackable service like UPS, Fed Ex or DHL.
