• There are some skills that virtually all people use every day. There are some skills that only few people have, but all people should master.

• Think about a skill that most people do not have but could benefit from mastering. Why would people benefit from having this skill? What are the consequences of not having this skill?

A skill I work toward improving every day is the ability to think objectively. Open-mindedness has helped me to learn about others, to be accepting, and to embrace different perspectives. It has helped me greatly to be more patient with others, to help people cope when they cannot see through the difficulty they may be experiencing, and even to laugh at myself!

If everyone had this skill, I think we might cooperate better as a whole. Being unable to percieve other's differences or challenges makes us impatient with one another and unwilling to be flexible or yield. However, if we master this skill, we see a shift to more fluidity in people and in situations.

Hope this helps!

There is another skill you have neglected to mention and that is posing a question that is a genuine question, not simply the introduction to a speech.
Did you actually want people to comment on your blurb or is this just an exercise in self gratification?
