Go to your old school and walk around remembering the younger days.
Go to an adult book store and buy you gal something new and find a sitter for the kiddies.
Make a memorable day for your family and bring a camera because those are the days that you will cherish. Maybe a Bbq at the park with a frisbie or a something that you all can play with.
An antique shop and see how many things you remember playing with as a kid, lol.

You should celebrate this milestone in grand style. After all, you only turn 40 once, and this is your debut into middle age.
I'd say spend the time doing something exciting and fun, but whatever you do, spend it in the company of friends and family. Invite everyone over to your place (or better yet, out to a restaurant, lounge, or club) and have yourself a par-TAY.
Then, once you've recovered from your drunken stupor, consider designing and getting a tattoo to commemorate your passage into middle age. Make it tasteful yet meaningful. No need to make it too big, either. Then be daring and have it done.
Hmm... maybe that's what I'll do when I turn 40! :)

What you normally like to do, but their is only one exception... your a little wiser now! Or do that one thing you always wanted to do when you were younger, and you say you can't because your too old. Because now is the chance before you really think you'll have an excuse. Just take in an account you have to still work and support the family. Maybe go streaking! or do a jigsaw puzzle. ha ha ha ha.

Age is just a number, but if you want to mark it as special, go big...skydiving, rock climbing, something to make the weekend more memorable! Happy Birthday!

You are only as old as you feel. Age is just a # it doesn't mean anything you don't want it to. So do whatever makes you happy. Being 40 doesn't bring your life to a hault. Besides, men get better with age.
