Ok. Cut the Paper bag open and lay into a single flat sheet. Measure the paper against the book. Fold the paper in toward the center on both the top and bottom equally so that it is the height of the book. Tape these in place relatively near the center. It works best if you can overlap them slightly and tape along the entire join line.
Slide one end of the book cover into one end of the paper, then wrap it back and around the book. Mark your crease for the opposite cover by folding it at the cover edge while the book is closed. Then open the book completely so that the spine bends slightly back and slide the second cover into the open (and creased) edge of the cover.
IF you taped the full join line you should not have to do anything else, though you can tape it to the book if you want to. If you were unable to make your edges meet, tape the flaps to the inside book cover.

Cut the paper bag so it lies flat like wrapping paper. open the book on the paper so the pages are facing up. Then, cut the paper so it is just a couple of inches bigger than the book.
Fold the paper over the cover and back pages and tape them together, like wrapping a package.
Good luck!

Take the paper bag and try to unstick all the places where it is glued to itself. Once you got them all unstuck, it should look like a flat peice of paper. Take your book and put it in the middle with the longer side of the bag perpendicular to the long side of the book. Fold both the top and bottom of the bag to match the length of the book. Then take the two sides and fold and slip your book into the pocket it forms when you fold the sides. You can use scotch tape to tape at the corners to reinforce the folds if you want.

You can also use wrapping paper. There are cloth book covers available at most retail stores. They are not expensive. You may want to consider this option.
