Am making a heirloom quilt with pictures of deceased Grandpa for his first born grandson. I need a beautiful poem to put on it to his daughter or the grandson.

I know I'll never see you grow into a fine young man
But maybe this is all just part of Gods forgotten plan
Just because you can not see me doesnt mean Im gone
I might be prancing through the meadow as a brand new fawn
I know I'll never hold your hand or watch you playing in the sand
I'll never come to tuck you in or read you tales like huckleberry finn
but when your time on earth is done rest assured I'll be the one
Who meets you on the other side with my loving arms open wide.
I'll pray for you from up above for god to send you all his love and
make sure you are safe. I love you always dear grandson, to me you'll
always be number one!

I've alway thought the lyrics to the song "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack would make a great addition to a memory quilt. There's a link to her website below (one of the best artist websites I've ever seen, by the way!). It takes you to the album. Click the sheet of paper icon next to the song "I Hope You Dance" for the lyrics.

Here's the first verse:
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give fate the fighting change
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance.
