I went onto a website that had a virus and spyware. I began to quarantene it as recommended now i cannot close the virus and spy protection loading window which states that the item is being processed. Any ideas?

Reboot and if you cant then if you have xp pull the plug to reboot.
then goto thenet and download antivirus and antispy freeware and run

Reboot and run it again
Virus scanners run better if the PC is in SafeMode
As soon as you turn the computer begin pressing the F8 until a screen comes up that gives the option to start in Safe Mode
Select Safe Mode
When the computer comes up everything may look pigger than usual. That is normal for safe mode
Run the virus scan
Reboot and it should come back up normally
Also check for spyware. Run both Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaw... and Skybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/)...... to remove any spyware. Run both as one may caught something the other missing. Then go to microsoft.com and download Defender to protect against future infections. All three programs are free.

Try uninstalling your spyware and antivirus software program, then reinstall them, once this is done, then run both programs for safety...There are lots of Free software http://www.gridsoft.com is a antivirus program and yahoo has a NEW Tool bar with nortons antispyware install and its FREE try both..

well that is probably a bad protection it might be on all the time beacause it is probably getting monitered or hacked,

and download spyware data
