everytime i call my friends phone # it says "this # is temporarily disconnected, no further information is available". what does tht mean. its been doing that since august 28. how long can it be disconnected 4?? when will it start working again? it is a HOME phone

It could mean that he did not pay his bills so the telephone company just temporarily disconnected like they said. When it's a permanent disconnect. they'll say that the # is no longer available, or it will be assigned to another person after a while.
It's only been 6 days so just wait another few days and see.

It means the phone is cut off because they didn't pay the bill. It will be like that until they pay the bill.

It will be disconnected until they turn their phone back on, that is if they do turn it back on. They could of also changed their #, your best bet is to talk to them in person & find out whats happening.

well that could be happening cos she hasn't payed the phone bill, it will start working a day after she pays it!!
