My very first choice would be the Netherlands, my second choice would be the North of France.
There are a multitude of reasons including but not limited to, their politics are less invasive of other countries, they have great bike paths, the food is exquisite, and the people are civilized.

LOTS of factors to be considered.
1) Language - does English have to be widely spoken. Is it imperative it is the primary language?
2) Cost - Is this a primary consideration? Does it need to be cheap?
3) Family - Is education, etc. for you children of utmost importance.
Me, personally, I think Thailand. It's cheap. English is widely spoken. All the basic facilities are there. Food is great. People are friendly. Weather is wonderful. Relatively safe and stable.
Philippines would probably qualify for the same reasons but I've never personally been there. People who've been in both say Thailand is a little more expensive, but better.
But I have no children. If I had, I'd probably make education a high priority - in which case Thailand would stick you with private schools. Negates a lot of the economical aspect of Thailand (or many asian and third world countries).
I hear great things about New Zealand. And Australia. And Canada.
Good luck with your choice. If you decide to leave, hope you have a great, adventurous life.
P.S. Don't listen to crap about U.S. being the only place worth living. U.S. is a good place for many. But those who think it's the only place worth living has never lived anywhere else.

I have lived outside of the U.S. for a bit. Although there are a few nice places around the world I would still live in the U.S.
You ask why?
Because I can have my own opinion and speak it. I can vote for my government. I can believe in anything I want to. I can own a house, car, dog, cat, land, and virtually anything I can work hard enough to afford. We have the best standard of living in the world. We have the best health care system in the world. I believe we still have the highest educational standards in the world. I can own a gun to hunt with or protect my family with. Women have the same rights as men and do not have to walk around with their heads covered and serve men like slaves. Where I live I do not even have to lock my doors when I am away as people in my neighborhood watch out for each other and would do something to protect my belongings. As I would for them. Most of these rights other countries do not grant their citizens.
I could go on and on but I think you get the idea.

I would go and live in ANGUILLA why because that's where my parents came from and I have fallen head over heels with the beautiful little Caribbean island and I would set up a small business with my family as the place is virtually crime free

Canada.
I like the cold, Medicine is socialized and people who need treatment are able to get that treatment without having to give up/sell everything they've ever worked for to restore their health, they recognise Civil Rights better than the US.

Panama because things are cheaper and the people are very nice there and you're surrounded by water and the weather isn't that cold and as soon as you go outside you can pick a mango everyday.

China, because there are many different and interesting things to learn, and there are more people to love and serve there, especially in the poor and isolated areas.
