First of all are you thinking you need a starter? The starter is underneath on the left hand side of the engine (drivers side of the car). Most of the bigger engines have the starter underneath on the pasenger side of the car!

To make sure you need a starter and not other parts, - jump the solenoid on the fender - near the battery most of the time, ( it sends current/electricity to starter solenoid), It is real common to have the first solenoid go bad, and the starter is just fine,- which you of course find out after you have gone through the pain of removing starter, -(and maybe buying a replacement and putting back on). This seems strange, but Ford has been doing this for many years. The reason is that the ignition key switch could not carry enough current to operate the starter solenoid without burning out the switch! .

Make sure you disconnect the batttery before you start removing the starter (if you have to), because it is real uncomfotrable having showers of sparks and molten copper running down your face and shoulder!!

Depends how much your left testicle cost I guess.... but the cheapest with the most bang is of course....NOS. Just make sure you stick to 75 shots (to be on the safe side). Now if you're left testicle cost less, I'd say a high performance exhaust with a cat-bypass or a hi-flow cat (if you want to pass emissions without having to swap out the catalytic converter to the bypass and vice versa every time you take the test). Now if it's even more less!! K&N Ram Air intake.

If facing the car it is underneath the bottom right hand side of the motor...you can follow the hot wire from the battery to it
