Call your doctor now. I'm serious. There's something called "Toxic Shock Syndrome" that can occur if you leave a tampon in too long. If it hasn't come out after 4 hours and you can't get it out, call your doctor for an emergency appointment.

You should first try getting it out yourself, of course. Use a lubricant like petrolium jelly.

I've always had the same problem. My peroids are light so toward the end of my cycle I can get dry. Put some K-Y gel or Vaseline on your finger and insert your finger up around the tampon. Coat the tampon as good as you can and gentle tug. Don't feel bad. The first time I had in a tampon I went riding bikes with my older sister. She said, "isn't it so much better riding with a tampon in rather than a big pad"? I said,"actually it hurts, it feels like I'm riding on a stick". When we got home she took me in the rest room and had me show her how I was inserting them. Turns out I was only putting the tip of the applicator in and then inserting the tampon. Obviously half the tampon stuck out. She showed me that I was suppose to insert the entire applicator before injecting tampon. To this day we still get a huge laugh out of it.

first relax, by being stressed it will make your muscles down there tight. you first find the string,(it you are too stressed you may need to lay on your back,) then pull it should just come right out. good luck
yeah, you don't want it to be in for more than 8 hours at the most. it could cause t.s.s. or toxic shock syndrome, it is serious enough of something that is why they put the pamphlet in wioth the box of tampons. remember no longer than 8 hours.

First maybe you should've asked your parents or doctor if tampons are okay for you. Usually young kids shouldn't use them and shouldn't try it if the doctor didn't recommend tampons for you. Anyways since it's already stuck go to the emergency room or wait or pull it out which might hurt.

you can't keep a tampon in longer than 8 hours. What do u mean it cant come out?.....if there is a string you have to pull on it, it hurts but slowly you have to, u just have to relax and dont yank on it, just pull, its pretty unconfortable the first couple times you do it...good luck!

Hi tAkeN4eVeR, sorry to see you in the state you are! Maybe follow the advice of The Grand Inquisitor, she seems to be pretty exprienced and gyno. too! Anyway, my sincere advice is, this being your first time and first day to use that tool 'tampoon', you better go to your family doc. or better still to a gynaecologist for a consultation and professional advice. You need to learn about relevant issues and take proper precautions to avoid such recurrence in future, until you get used to this important change in your life! Good luck and cheers, tAkeN4eVeR!

P.S.: By the way, even a boy should know about such things though pertaining to girls only, for obvious reasons!

What do you mean it wont come out?? You probably used a tampon that was too high absorbency for your cycle and isnt full yet. Your body will flush it out within a couple of hours...if not go see your doc.

Just relax, tensing up will make it harder. Open your legs as far as you (comfortably) can, and pull hard on the string. If the string has disappeared, insert your thumb and forefinger on the egde of the tampon, and pull.
Don't worry, it won't stay up there forever - it'll be out in no time!

You are supposed to pull on the string that is attached to it. And of course, never use one that is bigger than you need. If you are having a light day, use a light one. If you are having serious problems then you may want to go to a doctor, because leaving it in there too long can give you TSS, which can kill you. So dont wait too long to get help.

well when you put a tampon on you make sure that the string is not inside and hanging out so you can pull it out when your ready. It can hurt but it will come out
