has the edcuational community ever came around to Velikovsky's research and instituted it into the system?

Last I heard, he's still considered a crackpot. My son as recently asked some deep questions about some things that Velikovsky studied, and I told him I would re-read the books to refresh myself on the details. It was probably 30 years ago when I read his 3 books. The good thing about science is that it keeps re-inventing itself. It isn't long before long-held beliefs are pushed aside by new discoveries all the time. Oh, and our public education system is still stuck in the 19th century. And don't get me started on that subject here!
