Several people have suggested in other answers that circumcision was originally intended to prevent masturbation.

not even a bit -- however i have heard that it is easier to masturbate when you are uncircumsized.

No circumcision does not provent masturbation..
Why would you want to provent masturbation? There is nothing wrong with self-love...
