Definitely not! That movie wouldn't have been half as popular if they killed him off. He was the sexpot of the whole trilogy!

Before I begin I love Star Wars and Han Solo is the coolest character in New Hope and Empire but Jedi is the weak link in the chain. It would have been so cool that during the battle with Luke fighting Jabba's gang when everyone thought it was going to alright that Han got blasted and killed and the one to do oi Bobo Fett, that would have been the "Luke I am your father" scene and still an hour and half to go. Instead of Han and Chewi becoming the comedy relief, it's like Laural and Hardy running around with a bunch of bears and I have fondness for the film I do but it could have been much better.

No, the truth about Darth Vader and him turning back to the Light side at the end was enough of a bang without the need to kill off Solo.

Absolutely not!! I love Han Solo! His wit and great sense of humor added so much to all three movies.

Herrison ford did. During production alot of the people working on it (including ford) thought he should die in carbonite. Ford believed it would be a good progression in the movies to have han make the ultamite sacrifice by dieng for the rebelion. Lucas did not think he should die and he obviosly got his way. Personaly han is my favorent caracter and I am very glad he did not die.

WHAT! He was the best charactor in all 3. It made me happy when I was a kid to think that him and Princess Leia got married and had kids or something.
