After working at a Super Target... I would have to say that yes, some crooks teach their children how to do the same. For example, more than once I found children's old clothing and new tags left in the fitting room. Parents took their children in the fitting room, tried on a few new outfits, tore the tags off, left the old garments in the fitting room. How sick is that? As one person stated earlier, children learn by example. So unless they have some other positive examples in their life, they are likely to do as they see done.

I don't think one just spanks their child for misbehaving with out discussing the misbehavior first and last. The child needs to know why they are being spanked. While the discussion is good the spanking reinforces the need not to behave in the future. It shows them that there will be consequences beside just a "talking to". And I agree babies are too young to understand what it is about. I think a 4 or 5 year old gets the message very quickly though.

'Crookish behaviour' LMHO thats sooo funny !!
I guess if they are a crook they don't see themselves as being wrong so probably teach their children to be like that.....or they are never around the children as they are in jail !!!

Children learn by example.
However, chiildren who have been lied to learn to lie.
Perhaps it's best that crooks do not have children.

I lived next door to some people one time and they would teach their little kids, five and seven to come into my house and steal me blind. So yes they sure do teach their kids to be thieves! I had a hundred dallor pair of tennis shoes stole and many other things before I caught on to it. Then I asked the oldest little girl and she told me that their grandma told them to steal my shoes and other things to. I couldn't believe it!

They could never keep up the pretence. Children learn their behavior by copying adults.
Shame isn't it?

The reason that they are criminals is because they lack morals. It's impossible to pass on something you don't have.

Children absorb their parents real beliefs, even if the parents try and cover it up in front of them.
